Public Notice Request for Public Input on the Greene County Transit Board Program of Projects (POP): The Greene County Transit Board (Greene CATS Public Transit) has developed a Program of Projects (POP) which lists its proposed new uses of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds. The Board would like your comments on the POP. The following is a summary of the proposed new uses of FTA funds with the date and amount of FTA funds to be used: Federal Fiscal Year 2026 FTA Section 5307 formula grant funds for Operations in Calendar Year 2026 and 2027 at $1,154,290, Preventive Maintenance in Calendar Year 2026 and 2027 at $230,859 and Purchase Vehicles in Calendar Year 2026 or 2027 at $153,905. Other projects that will be funded by FTA funds have already been presented in previous Programs of Projects and had accompanying public input. Greene CATS Public Transit will be holding a public input meeting Thursday, July 16, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Fairborn Community Library, 1 East Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio 45324 and the same day at 1:00 pm at the Greene CATS Public Transit Scheduling Office, 2380 Bellbrook Avenue, Xenia, OH 45385. Interpreters for persons with hearing impairments or translators for persons with limited English proficiency can be provided at the public hearing with at least one-week notice.
